Product Details
Ammonium tetramolybdate is an important molybdenum compound, its chemical formula is (NH4)2Mo4O13, usually contains two crystal water, expressed as (NH4)2Mo4O13.2H20. It is a white or yellowish crystalline powder with no visible impurities. The loose specific gravity of ammonium tetramolybdate is between 0.6 and 1.4g/cm³. It is soluble in ammonia and alkali, but insoluble in alcohol and acetone. It is easily weathered in the air and has poor thermal stability. When heated to above 150°C, it will decompose into ammonia and molybdenum trioxide.
Ammonium tetramolybdate according to the different uses, can be divided into MSA-1, MSA-2, MSA-3 three grades, different grades of ammonium tetramolybdate chemical composition is different, the use is also different.
The main uses of ammonium tetramolybdate can be divided:
1) molybdenum deep processing industry: such as molybdenum powder, molybdenum bar, molybdenum rod, molybdenum wire drawing and other molybdenum products.
2) Chemical industry: manufacture of dyes, pigments and other molybdenum compounds.
3) oil industry: industrial and artificial wool industry catalyst, catalyst agent, fabric fire retardant and other products production.
4) Agricultural industry: used to add trace elements in chemical fertilizers.
